The group comprises of two companies M/s Optomech Engineers Pvt Ltd the parent company started its operations in 1981 to manufacture precision optomechanical equipments required for industry and research and M/s Medimage Technologies Pvt Ltd which was incorporated in 1996 to develope computer imaging applications for medical and material science.

Optomech has achieved several distinctions during last more than 20 years of its existance.

Several equipments required for interpretation of Satellite Remote sensing data were productionised during 1985 to 1990 The technologies used for manufacture of these equipments was based on the know-how developed at Indian Space Research Organization Department of Space Ahemedabad and National Remote Sensing Agency Hyderabad

The successfull productionisation of these sophisticated equipments within a short period of time put the company in theforefront of the rapidly developing field of satellite data interpretation and image analysis. The company was recognised by ISRO as their main technology partner for the development, productionisation and distribution of indigenously developed equipments.

This success led to a collaboration with a Canadian company M/s Gregory Geoscience Ltd for manufacture Projection Compositor a Satellite data interpretation equipment.

In recognition of their achievements in 1996 and 1998 the company's promotors were invited by The U N Commision for Outer Space Affairs to present a paper in the conference on SPINOFF BNEFITS OF SPACE TECHNOLOGIES FOR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES:CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES at Colorado Springs and Tampa USA.

The paper presented a outline on how a mechanism can be developed to effectively transfer the technologies developed by the space labs of the countries involved space research to the less developed countries, so that the spinoff benefits of these advanced technologies can be enjoyed by all human kind.

Since 1996 Medimage is engaged in developing applications of image analysis In the field of microscope imaging for life sciences and material science. It is one of the two or three companies in the country who have developed totally indigenous solutions for this advanced technology.
